Senior and Geriatric Care Initial Assessment and Program Enrolment $275 plus travel (over 20km)
Our aim is to focus on living well, love and joy, so we will implement every measure possible to meet your fur-baby’s unique needs. We want to provide comfort and quality of life in every single moment.
This visit of around an hour includes a medical record review; client, patient and environment needs assessments; development of Geriatric Care Plan; client information and patient care folder; quality of life and pain scales; rehabilitation/physical therapy plan. All medications, consumables and care aids are supplied at an additional cost. Your fur-baby is then enrolled in our program for three months.
We can usually make ourselves available at a time to suit your whole family with an advance booking. Appointments outside business hours will attract an additional cost.
Additional visits within the enrolment period $99 plus travel (over 20km)
In home business hours visits of up to thirty minutes as required for on-going assessment and care.
Senior and Geriatric Care Re-enrolment including visit $165 plus travel (over 20km)
At this visit, three months after initial enrolment, we reassess the patient, review the plan, and adapt as necessary to changes in the patient’s condition. This is an in-home visit of up to one hour. When re-enrolling, patients continue to be eligible for a reduced price of $99 plus travel on additional visits for up to a month.
Hospice Care Initial Assessment $330 plus travel (over 20km)

This visit of up to two hours includes a medical record review; client, patient and environment needs assessments; Interim Care Plan; development of full Hospice Care Plan; client information and patient care folder; quality of life and pain scales; planning for the end.
We can usually make ourselves available at a time to suit your whole family with an advance booking. Appointments outside business hours will attract an additional cost.
Hospice Care Implementation Visit and Enrolment $275 plus travel (over 20km)
During this business hours visit of up to one hour, we help you to set up for your animal companion’s on-going care. We will deliver and explain medications and dosing schedules; demonstrate and teach necessary nursing care and hygiene procedures; implement nutritional recommendations; discuss and document what to do in a variety of situations; and make sure you’re completely comfortable with your fur-baby’s day-to-day care.
This visit also enrols your animal companion as a Hospice Patient, which entitles you to on-going telephone support for up to a month, as well as a reduced price on additional visits during the enrolment period.
All medications, consumables and care aids are supplied at an additional cost as detailed in the Hospice Care Plan.
Additional visits within the enrolment period $165 plus travel (over 20km)
In home business hours visits of up to thirty minutes as required for on-going assessment and care. Often the frequency of these visits increases as the end-of-life stage approaches.
What if I need a longer appointment?
We understand that sometimes a longer appointment may be necessary, and for some families having our team there during the patient’s last few hours can be very reassuring. In these cases, we can charge you an hourly rate ($275/hr during business hours, billed in 15 minute increments) to make sure we can meet your needs.
What if I need you to come outside business hours?
After hours appointments can sometime be arranged at an additional cost. We will discuss this at your assessment visit. Urgent after hours care is usually referred to your regular veterinarian, or local emergency practice. What to do in case of urgent or emergency situations will be detailed in your care plan.

Hospice Respite Care
If you need to go out and don’t want to leave your fur-baby, we can often organise respite by the hour for your peace of mind. Cost depends on the patient’s needs. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you are interested in this service.
Enrolled Hospice Patient $275 plus travel; an additional cost for appointments outside business hours will apply.
New Patient
Pre-euthanasia assessment and consultation: $110 plus travel
In-home euthanasia: $374 plus travel – please note, we will not perform euthanasia of new patients without first performing assessment. Assessment can be performed immediately prior to euthanasia, if required, in which case only one application of travel costs will apply.
In home euthanasia appointments for new patients are only available during business hours.
After Care
Home burial
There is no additional charge if you intend to bury your friend at home. Please check with your local council for applicable permissions.
Group Cremation $110
We will respectfully transport your friend for group cremation, so you know they will be in good hands.
Individual Cremation
We can’t recommend the lovely team at Pets in Peace highly enough. They have looked after our own animals and their kind, respectful treatment of our patients has earned our trust over many years.
